What if my Medicare prescriptions change in the middle of a calendar year?
No worries! When we review your annual Part D Prescription Drug plan for the first time, your current prescriptions are fully reviewed.
This information, however does not lock you into specific prescriptions or pharmacies.
This exercise is aimed at helping you choose the most appropriate plan for your needs at that moment. If later on your prescriptions or pharmacy change, you do not need to adjust your plan.
That applies whether you have a stand-alone PDP or prescription drug coverage through your Medicare Advantage plan. Just send your prescription to your chosen pharmacy, present your prescription card, and the pharmacy will provide coverage details for your new prescription drugs.
Keep in mind that both drug prices and plan benefits may change each year.
Because of this, we highly recommend an annual review of your prescription drug plan.
Reach out to us today to schedule your review during the Annual Enrollment period (October 15 – Dec 7). Even if your medications remain the same, it is beneficial to review these policies annually to ensure you are still in the most appropriate plan.
