Will I Be Automatically Enrolled in Medicare at Age 65?
If you receive Social Security, Railroad Retirement, or disability benefits, you will be enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B. Three months before turning 65 or after 24 months of disability, you will receive an Initial Enrollment Package with Medicare details, a questionnaire, and your Medicare card.
To get both Part A and Part B, sign your Medicare card and keep it with you. To decline Part B, mark the refusal box, sign the form, and return it with the card to Social Security. A new Medicare card will be issued showing only Part A if you opt out of Part B.
Consider meeting with myself at Frost Insurance Agency at least three months before turning 65 to explore Medicare options based on your individual needs.
Does Medicare Coverer Dental Services?
Medicare does not include coverage for regular dental care or common dental procedures like cleanings, fillings, tooth extractions, or dentures. In rare instances, Medicare Part B may cover specific dental services. Medicare Part A may cover certain dental services provided during inpatient care.

What Medical Supplies and Equipment Are Covered by Medicare Part B?
Medicare Part B assists in covering durable medical equipment like oxygen equipment, wheelchairs, and other medically necessary items prescribed by your doctor for home use. Additionally, Medicare covers:
- Arm, leg, back, and neck braces
- Medical supplies such as ostomy pouches, surgical dressings, splints, and casts
- Breast prostheses post-mastectomy
- One pair of eyeglasses with an intraocular lens after cataract surgery
Medicare follows different payment methods for various durable medical equipment; some require rental while others need to be purchased.
